This is actually a pretty cool story and one that kind of exemplifies the times we live in. Amy Kocurek, the wife of NFL assistant Kris Kocurek took to social media to break the news that her husband will be the new defensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins.

Amy Kocurek took to facebook on Wednesday to make the announcement, which beat any journalist that covers the NFL to the punch.

What makes this hire significant? Well their’s a few reasons. Clearly the team needed an overhaul after they fired Terrell Williams the previous position coach. Kocurek as the facebook post reads, had been on the Detroit Lions staff for nine years.

Why else is this move significant? Well Kocurek coached the Dolphins most important and highest paid defensive player Ndamukong Suh when Suh was in Detroit. For a team that rankled 26th overall in sacks, getting a new coach with the amount of talent on the line was certainly in critical order.

In addition to Kocurek being named defensive line coach, the team is expected to name Eric Studesville running backs coach. Studesville coached with Gase when he was in Denver.
