The Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles will join forces for joint practicing prior to their August 24th preseason date in the “city of brotherly love.” The Eagles made it official Thursday:

The joint practice comes during week 3 of the preseason , which is widely considered the only real preseason game that matters.

A couple of current Dolphins, Kiko Alonso and Byron Maxwell, will be making their return to Philadelphia, as both were traded to Miami prior to the 2016 season. The Eagles are coached by one time former Dolphins QB Doug Pederson, who like the Fins Adam Gase, will be entering his second season.

The Dolphins last held joint practices in 2015 when they shared the field with the Carolina Panthers.

The last time these two teams met in an actual game was a week 10 matchup in 2015 (above) that saw then head coaches Dan Campbell and Chip Kelley square off, which Miami won.

Obviously, a lot has changed since then and we will have to wait and see how both teams fair throughout the week.
