Late on Friday night the Dolphins mission to better themselves on defense through the 2017 NFL Draft became even more evident as they picked defensive back for their third round selection.

Cordrea Tankersley of the National Champion Clemson Tigers became the newest Fin, when Miami selected him at 97th spot.

While Tankersley is smaller at 5’11 and he ran a blazing fast 4.38 40 time at the Combine that obviously attracted the attention of the Miami brass.

It’s the first time in Dolphins history that they’ve taken a defensive player with each of their first three draft picks.
