One of the lingering questions in Miami in the off season has been the rehab of QB Ryan Tannehill’s injured ACL.

As you probably recall, Tannehill was injured near the end of the regular season in a win over Arizona and it was originally feared that he had torn the ACL and would later require surgery

That turned out to not be the case, as it was later determined that the ACL injury to the left plant leg was only a sprain that the Dolphins and famed Dr. James Andrews believed would heal in time with rest and rehab.

Well, apparently that is right on schedule, as Dolphins offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen talked with the media Saturday afternoon about seeing Tannehill working out in limited on field action so far.

Tannehill had the best QB rating season of his five year career going at 93.5 when he suffered the injury in the week 13 game with the Cardinals. He had also thrown 19 TDs with 12 INTs and for just under 3,000 yards.

Veteran Matt Moore took over in the second half of the Arizona game and nursed the win. Then, led the Fins to key road wins over the Jets and then, the Bills to secure Miami’s first playoff berth since 2008. They would lose their playoff game on Wildcard Weekend at Pittsburgh.

Now, Tannehill gets a chance to get back in for a full off season of work, as they had hoped.

And, the Dolphin high hopes will continue to build this off season.
