Colts exhale on former Gator Quincy Wilson’s knee injury

It’s the biggest fear teams have with preseason games; injury. And for the Colts, they exhaled that they didn’t lose rookie Quincy Wilson for a significant length of time after he left Saturday night’s game with the Dallas Cowboys.

Wilson a second round pick out of Florida this past April, was hurt in the second quarter in Arlington. This coming after he actually had a nice pass breakup with the Cowboys deep in Colts territory:

But either on that play or shortly after, Wilson left the game with a knee injury and the media was told he would not return. Now, he was likely not going to play in the second half of preseason game #2, anyway, but it still was a cause for concern.

Luckily, it looks like it’s not serious for Wilson as the regular season approaches:

So while they are relieved, don’t expect the Colts to use Wilson very much in their third preseason game against Pittsburgh. It’s obviously, more important to have him ready week one.
