With the return of Jameis Winston from his NFL imposed suspension, there is optimism that the Bucs will get their season back on track starting this week against the Atlanta Falcons.

And it’s no coincidence, that the Buccaneers, as part of relaunching their season off the bye week, want Winston to be featured heavily in a positive light.

This morning, the Buccaneers through social media unveiled a new promo video showing Winston back in their indoor practice facility and working hard to get ready for the rest of the season:

In the spot, Winston is heard saying “Here’s what I know. I know about the grind, about laying the groundwork. About one more rep, one more rep, one more rep and one more after that. I know where this team is going (improving), so you ‘raise the flags’ (Bucs slogan thi year) and we will fire the cannons.”

The theme being that the Buccaneers are ready to work hard and get the fans excited again after getting off to their 2-0 start.

With good reason, the Glazer family and Buccaneers organization chose not to promote Winston on any of their video ads or promo materials leading up to the start of the regular season. This is because there was no positive value to promoting a player suspended for 3 games for personal conduct violation by the league.

Now, it makes sense again, to put the player that they drafted #1 overall in 2015 back at the forefront of the future of the franchise.

As we wrote earlier this week, it is the latest chapter in Winston Saga And, while some believe the quarterback situation has been turned over Winston indefinitely, we believe the signs point to coach Dirk Koetter turning back to veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, if Winston doesn’t perform well and the Bucs are not winning in the short-term.

All of that is controlled largely by one guy.

The guy in the video, Jameis Winston.
