Tuesday Morning, the Bucs made official their training camp dates for this July and August. And, it will include their joint practices with the Miami Dolphins before the to meet in the second week of the preseason.

The Buccaneers announced that their Camp will commence with its first practice on Friday afternoon July 26th:

Tampa Bay’s new head coach Bruce Arians and his staff will be getting a team acclimated the 2019 season, and that will include that you practices with the dolphins Tuesday August 13th and Wednesday August 14th. Those practices will be held in the morning at the Bucs facility and open to the public.

Then, the two in-state foes will square off Friday night August 16th at Raymond James Stadium in thier traditional August matchup (above), where the starters are expected to play at least through the first half of the game. The Dolphins also have a new coaching staff led by first-time head coach Brian Flores, and they’re obviously anxious to work with the Bucs in practice and then play them that week.

One of the interesting subplots is that quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in Miami was the backup and part-time starter for the last two seasons in Tampa Bay.

Last year, Fitzpatrick became the first quarterback in the history of the NFL to throw for 400 yards or more in the first three games of a season. And, he was also named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the first two weeks. That’s when he led Tampa Bay to stirring victories over the Saints and the Eagles and a 2-0 start.

Fitzpatrick will also be mentoring new Fins QB Josh Rosen, who was acquired from Arizona in a draft weekend trade. And, it’s entirely possible, that Rosen may have replaced Fitzpatrick as the starter or at least will be alternating series with the Dolphins first team offense in preseason game two.
